This is a new and updated edition in 1995 from Editions du Peuplier. It is a history of the Rouge Valley from "de la hache aux canons a neige..."
It provides the reader with an excellent background history of the Laurentian development and includes many interesting vignettes about the people who contributed to the development of our region.
There is an excellent bibliography that lists other sources and reading material for those interested in delving more deeply into the history of the area.

The book is available through local outlets...La Promenade in St. Jovite. I purchased my copy at "Page a Page" - the new bookstore in the retail complex at the base of Mt. Tremblant.
